Business 161: Fewer Rejections

  • Course Description: A way to handle your book-length written work. The 50 most common reasons for agent or editor rejections are provided in a book by an award-winning author, former editor and former agent.

    The course goes over a series of tips and techniques to prepare you for your book’s marketability. From exploring story ideas to crafting triumphant endings, you’ll get hints to help you get your story sold. The participants will read the given chapters and do one of a variety of exercises, pertaining to the subject for that week.

  • Method of Presentation/Instruction: Each participant would read a given chapter, and then complete an exercise  Members of the group would post their work. Feedback would be given by the facilitator and by the participants. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get into weekly discussion on different aspects of the work.
