BUSINESS 158 [M] [1] [2] [3] [4] - Classroom A - Classroom BWeek 2: JavascriptJavascript is coding that is contained within your HTML document. It is considered a script and not an application because it is a series of instructions that have not been compiled into a stand-alone program. We will be implementing third-party javascript into our documents this week. That means we will take code that other people have written and place it into our documents. Two key things you need to be aware of when implementing Javascript into your document:
The nice thing about javascript.internet.com is that it will give you explicit instructions for each of the following. In a nutshell, there may be a section of code to cut and paste for the head section of your document, the body section of your document, and a modification of the opening body tag. Javascript is just script that you add to your existing HTML. In the alien-spacecraft example, you will also have to download the image of the spacecraft and the background (keep the names the same), and place them in the same directory as your file. Your assignment is simple. Do each of the following in a separate file. Instructions are on the linked page. http://javascript.internet.com/clocks/current-date.html http://javascript.internet.com/bgeffects/text-blinker.html http://javascript.internet.com/games/checkboxes.html http://javascript.internet.com/messages/alert.html http://javascript.internet.com/messages/default-status.html http://javascript.internet.com/bgeffects/alien-spacecraft.html Linkshttp://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp - javascript how to As always, post a link to your website in the classroom.
