BUSINESS 148 [M] [1] [2] [3] [4]- Classroom A - Classroom BWeek 1: The Energy of First ThoughtsIf you've taken other courses focusing on our inner critic, you know
that writing your first thoughts in a journal first thing in the morning
tends to send our critic into seclusion or at least takes the wind out
of his or her sails. Whether it's done by free writing, timed writing,
or journal writing, those first thoughts have energy 'unencumbered by
ego'. First thoughts have truth and emotion. Don't stop, keep writing.
Write through the tears, don't think, don't cross out, don't edit
punctuation, spelling or grammar. Just keep writing and let it all hang
out.
