                   Java Chat

Click the link to a chat room below to enter by way of java. Be sure to give your computer time for the page to load. It takes longer than a regular web page to load, so don't give up on it too soon. Once the entire page has loaded, the "applet" portion of the chat room has to load. If you see the word "Done" or "Closed" in the lower left hand corner, that only means the web page has finished loading, not the applet. Be patient. Wait a little while longer because the applet has almost finished loading by this time. Once it has completely loaded, a gray box in the center of the page will show some specific features with a space for you to enter your name. Type in your name or nickname. Then click the "Connect" button. This will take you directly into the chat room. Once you are in the chat room, type your words in the bottom area of the screen. You need to press the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to transfer your words into the chat room.    Have fun!
